2025 in Review: A Year of Collective Impact

As we reflect on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for what SOAR Collective accomplished together. This past year was rooted in intentional growth, deeper connection, and a shared commitment to investing in youth and community through collective giving.

From fundraising milestones to meaningful gatherings, 2025 demonstrated what’s possible when people come together with purpose.

Meeting Our Goals, Together

In 2025, SOAR Collective set out to raise $12,500 in support of youth-serving organizations, and we’re proud to share that we met this goal.

Through a combination of member dues, collective fundraising efforts, and a generous $2,000 matching grant from Grapevine Giving in partnership with the Nextdoor Foundation’s Close the Gap Fund, our community showed up in powerful ways.

2025 Grantmaking Impact

As a result of this collective effort, SOAR awarded over $6,000 in unrestricted, general operating support to each of our 2025 grantees:

  • BUMP the Triangle, empowering Black and Brown youth through culturally responsive programming centered on wellness, leadership, and community.

  • Helping Each Adolescent Reach Their Spark (H.E.A.R.T.S.), supporting young people through mentorship, education, and access to essential resources.

In addition to financial support, SOAR members also rallied around H.E.A.R.T.S.’ Love Bug Closet, collecting baby supplies, personal hygiene items, and household essentials to support teen parents and their families.

Strengthening Our Collective

Beyond grantmaking, 2025 was a year of deepened relationships and community building. Highlights included:

  • Social gatherings, including our annual retreat, Friendsgiving, and Holiday Luncheon

  • Gathering locally and nationally at events like CircleUp Charlotte with Philanthropy Together, the CIN Leadership Summit in Philadelphia, and the Collective Sum Conference in Minneapolis, MN

Looking Ahead

2025 affirmed what we’ve always believed: collective giving is about more than dollars—it’s about relationships, trust, and shared responsibility. As we move forward, we remain committed to supporting community-rooted organizations and cultivating a collective grounded in care, generosity, and impact.

Thank you to every SOAR member, partner, and supporter who made this year possible. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2026 and grateful to be doing this work together.
