Membership
Voting membership is open to Black women who want to actively participate in SOAR's collective giving and leadership.
Members may join at any time during the year. Annual membership is $365 (just $1 a day) and payment plans are available. One hundred percent of membership contributions to the Annual Pool Fund are awarded as grants to Black-led nonprofit organizations serving the Greater Triangle.
As a voting member, you'll have the opportunity to:
Vote on the organizations that receive SOAR's annual grant awards.
Help shape the future of SOAR through governance and leadership elections.
Serve on committees and contribute your skills and expertise.
Build meaningful relationships with other women committed to collective philanthropy.
Participate in volunteer opportunities and community engagement.
Help plan events, educational experiences, and strategic initiatives.
Serve as an ambassador for SOAR and help grow our collective impact.
Friends & Allies
Collective giving is powered by community.
While voting membership is reserved for Black women, everyone is welcome to support SOAR's mission. Friends and allies help expand our impact by contributing to the Annual Pool Fund, volunteering, attending events, and sharing our work with others.
